Southern Pembroke

Virginia or eastern Carolina

Circa 1800

Cherry with yellow pine secondary

27 5/8″ H; 19 1/2″ W; 31 5/8″ D (case)
37 3/4″ W x 31 5/8″ D (with leaves extended)

This cherry Pembroke with yellow pine secondary has a characteristic that is often seen in the southside of Virginia, which is a medial brace.  The cherry has a wonderful figure and is really a stunning piece.

WHY WE LOVE IT: This is a beautiful Federal piece with great simplistic lines that allows the cherry to really shine.
