Reverse Serpentine Chest from Boston

Circa 1780

Superbly constructed chest with fine serpentine shaping and a boldly carved drop in the front apron. The blocked ends extend into the feet and retains the original drop. Bold, original brasses. Similar examples are found in important museum collections, including Yale.
